The New Jersey Lottery gives you lots of opportunities to enter non-winning tickets to potentially win great prizes at the second time of asking. There are numerous Second Chance programs, including Million Dollar Replay, Lottery Bonus Zone and Collect N Win.
You can find out more about each one below, but to take part in any Second Chance promotion you’ll need to join the New Jersey Lottery’s VIP Club. This just requires you to register online by providing a few details.
For each different program, you can quickly find out which games are eligible, then you just need to keep hold of any losing scratch tickets that qualify for the promotion.
To submit a ticket, you need to enter the 14-digit serial number that is located under the latex covering in the play area of your ticket.
Million Dollar Replay is the New Jersey Lottery’s biggest-money promotion, culminating in an annual draw which gives away a number of cash prizes ranging between $10,000 and $1 million.
To qualify for this yearly drawing, you need to enter and win one of the quarterly draws that precede it. In each of these draws, 100 winners are selected at random to each receive $250.
The Lottery Bonus Zone has monthly drawings. The rules of each one can be a bit different, but you can enter your losing tickets by typing in your game and serial number for eligible scratch-offs, or by scanning the barcode through the NJ Lottery app.
You can win exclusive prize packages in the Bonus Zone, such as scratch-offs, NJ Lottery branded items, Amazon Gift Cards and game tickets for the New Jersey Devils ice hockey team.
For Collect N Win promotions, use the NJ Lottery website or app to enter eligible scratch tickets. Symbols are awarded on a digital game card for each ticket that you enter, and once you have collected all six symbols you receive one entry into the next drawing.
Draws usually take place once a month, with each one offering a grand prize of $5,000 plus 10 further prizes of $500. The list of winners will be published about seven days after a drawing, but if you win you’ll automatically be notified through your player account.
