California’s Scratcher 2nd Chance offers players another chance to win big. So if your scratcher didn’t win instantly, don’t throw it away just yet!
Each eligible non-winning scratcher ticket gives you another chance to win a cash prize using the 2nd Chance draws. For scratchers, there are weekly pool draws that see two $25,000 winners, five $5,000 winners, and twenty-five $1,000 winners.
Any scratcher entered that is beyond the 180 days of their game closure will not be accepted or valid for 2nd Chance.
To enter, you will need to find the second chance code on the back of your eligible ticket. For every non-winning ticket will give you 1 entry for every $1 that you spend. You must be 18 or older and you will need to create an account with California Lottery.
You can either enter your code manually when logging into your California Lottery account with your laptop or desktop, or you can scan the barcode located on the front of your scratcher ticket using the California mobile app.
You can submit up to 500 codes per month, of which, you can keep a track of your submissions with your California Lottery account. You will receive an email notification if you win, but you can also check the results and winners for each draw.
