Claiming Prizes in California

Redeeming prizes from the CA lottery is a straight-forward process, the only thing you need to take note of is which option applies to you!

Claiming By Prize Value

If you win a prize under $599, you can present your scratcher at any authorized retailer to receive your winnings. This is provided that the store has the amount of money in cash on hand, as there is no requirement to have large amounts on site at any given time. You can also visit a California Lottery District Office to claim your prize, or via mail.

For prizes $600 and over, you can either claim by mail (though the processing time may take longer than in person) or visit a California District Office.
