1. Cincinnati Player Wins $10 Million on "Extreme Millions"
A player in Ohio won $10 million on a scratch-off ticket in a life-changing January, after buying a $30 Extreme Millions ticket at Dent Shell in Cincinnati. The winner chose the cash option of $5 million, and after mandatory state and federal tax totaling 28 percent, took home approximately $3.6 million. Extreme Millions carries a top prize of $400,000 a year for 25 years, and as of late January there was one top prize still remaining in the game.
2. Northeast Ohio Player Claims $2 Million "Cashword" Prize
A player in Cuyahoga Falls scanned a winning ticket at the store, then went to another store and scanned it twice more because they couldn't believe the result. The prize came from the $2,000,000 Cashword game, which as of mid-November 2025 had one $2 million top prize left, paid out as $80,000 a year for 25 years, with overall odds of winning any prize listed at about 1 in 3.37.
3. Toledo Man Turns One Big Win Into Two
A Toledo man claimed a $1 million Ohio Lottery scratch-off prize on the new $50 Millionaire Blowout game, uncovering the game's top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. He took the lump-sum cash option and received $366,250 after mandatory state and federal tax withholdings of 26.75%. Still feeling lucky, he bought another Millionaire Blowout ticket the same week and won an additional $25,000. He said he planned to take a longer vacation than expected, buy a new vehicle, and set money aside for his kids.
