$1 Million – Twice in 3 Months – Robert Hamilton (Indianapolis)
Who says lightning never strikes the same place twice? In April 2014, an Indianapolis man managed to win $1 million playing the Hoosier Lottery's '$120 Million Cash Spectacular' $10 ticket. Impressive enough, but three months later in July, he won the same prize on the same $10 ticket again. Incredible! Hamilton used his wins win to pay off some financial obligations, buy a house and a truck for his dad, and invest in his business.
$1 Million - $10 50X The Cash – Terry Sholly (Frankfort)
In April 2018, Terry Sholly stopped at a Good To Go in Frankfort to check his Hoosier Lotto tickets (by the sounds of it, they weren't winners!). There, he decided to buy two $10 50X The Cash tickets and scratched them in his car. Sholly chose the cash option of $782,938, before taxes, which he planned to put into a retirement account.
$500,000 - $20 Lady Luck – Melvin Sours (Bronson MI)
In April 2024, Melvin Sours, a Michigan resident who'd commute into Indiana for work each day, won $500,000 on a $20 scratch off – a 25,000x return! The clerk at his regular gas station mentioned that the Lady Luck tickets had just gone on sale, so he decided to give one a try. It paid off big time!
