For prizes won in Georgia of $600 or less, you will be able to claim your winnings from any authorizes retailer. Please note that retailers are not required to keep large amounts of cash on hand, and therefore may be unable to pay your prize in cash. However, some may offer a payment in cash, a money order, or a combination of both.
You also have the option to mail in your claim, include your complete address, and will need to sign the back of your winning ticket.
If you win a prize up to $25,000, you can claim via appointment at Georgia Lottery Headquarters or District Offices. Walk-in appointments are limited so it is best to schedule one instead. You will need a complete claim form, a valid photo ID and proof of a Social Security number. For prizes up to $25,000, you can also claim your winnings at the GLC Kiosks, located at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. These are usually also paid the same day.
Prizes between $250,000 and $499,999 can be claimed at the GLC Headquarters or district offices by 4pm to receive same day payment. Arriving after 4pm will ensure being paid the following business day.
Prizes of $500,000 or more will usually be paid within 5 - 10 business days from the date of your claim. These will be deposited into your bank electronically.
